Sacha Baron Cohen is universally known as a talent and a target, with his wildly popular Borat attracting a parade of lawsuits after its release in 2006. However, all of the suits arising from Borat were eventually dropped for lack of sustainable evidence – not a huge surprise. Though his follow up film Bruno was just released, its already
the subject of one lawsuit and another two suits are looming (one from
Pauly Shore and the other from
an alleged terrorist). The infographic below shows a history of all lawsuits filed against
Borat and
Bruno, taking into account when they started, when they were dismissed, and how much the plaintiff sued for. When will these greedy people learn? Sacha Baron Cohen might play a moron on camera, but he’s not likely to fork over any money for his antics.
